Mumbai, February 8, 2024 – Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the leading hospitality giant in India, has once again set its sights on expansion with the signing of a new Ginger hotel at Manohar International Airport (MOPA) in Goa. This exciting development comes as part of IHCL’s strategic growth plan, further solidifying its position as a key player in the country’s hospitality landscape.
The landmark 60-year sub-license agreement was officially sealed between GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL) and Roots Corporation Limited (RCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of IHCL. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both parties, promising to deliver unparalleled experiences to travellers passing through Goa’s vibrant airport.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The signing of a Ginger hotel at the new Manohar International Airport, Goa is a testament to IHCL’s commitment to expanding its footprint across key transit hubs. The forthcoming 300-key hotel, sprawled across two acres, is poised to become a cornerstone of the Manohar International Airport’s aero-city development. Boasting a diverse array of amenities including the signature all-day diner Qmin and a state-of-the-art fitness center, the hotel aims to cater to the discerning needs of both business and leisure travellers alike. Scheduled for inauguration in 2027, this project underscores IHCL’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
