IHG® Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in the hospitality industry, has proudly announced the signing of a management agreement with Mansarovar Amusement Park & Resort for the development of Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj, Nepal. Anticipated to open its doors in early 2028, this resort will offer over 100 keys and contribute to the expansion of IHG’s portfolio in the South West Asia (SWA) region.

As one of the world’s largest premium hotel brands, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts boasts over 520 properties worldwide, offering guests a unique “Work/Life Blend” experience. With multi-functional spaces designed to seamlessly transition between work and socialization, Crowne Plaza caters to the needs of today’s business traveler.

Situated in the bustling sub-metropolitan city of Banke District, Nepalgunj, the resort serves as a key transport hub for western regions of Nepal. Positioned near the southern border with Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, India, it provides a convenient stopover for travelers between Nepal and India. Once operational, the resort will feature three F&B venues catering to diverse tastes, a fitness center, club lounge, rejuvenating spa, retail store, and two meeting rooms including a ballroom to meet MICE demands.

With a current portfolio of 50 hotels and a robust pipeline of 64 hotels set to open in the next 3-5 years, IHG continues to strengthen its presence in South West Asia across its renowned brands, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts®, Crowne Plaza®, Holiday Inn Resort®, and Holiday Inn Express®.
