With over 18 years of experience in luxury hotels throughout the United States, Middle East, Indonesia, Thailand, and China, Chef Calmet brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Chef Calmet has held key positions at prestigious properties such as Shangri-La, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, and Rosewood Hotel Group. His achievements include receiving the Hotel Executive Chef of the Year award by Caterer Middle East and being featured on the Executive Chef Power List by Hotelier Middle East for his innovative contributions to the hotel dining scene.
One of Chef Calmet’s most notable accomplishments was leading his F&B team during the star-studded Grand Reveal Weekend of Atlantis The Royal. The event, known as the ‘Feast of Dreams,’ was a show-stopping gastronomic experience featuring dishes prepared by six world-famous chefs, including Nobu Matsuhisa, José Andres, Costas Spiliadis, Ariana Bundy, Mich Turner, and Gaston Acurio. Chef Calmet’s meticulous planning and execution showcased his exceptional culinary skills and ability to create unforgettable dining experiences.
Over the past 2.7 years, Chef Calmet has worked tirelessly to recruit top-tier talent, establish F&B operations from scratch, and source the highest quality ingredients both locally and globally. His dedication culminated in the unveiling of the region’s premier new culinary destination.
Chef Calmet expressed his gratitude to Cedric Darthial, Mathew Goodlet, Tom J. Roelens, and Kym Barter for their guidance, trust, and support since his arrival at Atlantis Dubai.
