Chayan Sinha‘s career in the hospitality industry is a compelling narrative of growth, innovation, and dedication to nurturing talent. Before joining Novotel Kolkata, he served as the Cluster Learning & Development Manager for ibis in North India, overseeing the training needs of multiple locations including New Delhi, Gurgaon, and Jaipur. In this role, he demonstrated remarkable ability in managing large-scale training initiatives and tailoring programs to meet the unique needs of different regions.

His expertise in learning and development was further honed during his tenure in Dubai as a Learning & Development Manager. Here, Chayan led various training sessions, developed comprehensive training materials, and facilitated workshops that contributed to the professional growth of employees. His work was instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and improving customer satisfaction through well-trained staff.

Chayan’s earlier roles at Atlantis Resorts provided him with a solid foundation in training and development. As an Assistant Manager in Learning and Development, he was involved in creating and delivering training programs that addressed both individual and organizational needs. His responsibilities included onboarding new hires, conducting soft skills training, and managing career development programs. This role allowed Chayan to refine his skills in identifying training needs, developing relevant content, and measuring the impact of training on performance.

Before transitioning into learning and development, Chayan’s career began in the hospitality industry as a Bartender at The Park Hotels and later in Dubai. These roles provided him with first-hand experience in customer service and operational management, which have been invaluable in his training roles. His ability to understand the challenges faced by frontline staff and his experience in managing guest interactions have enriched his approach to training, making his programs practical and impactful.

Throughout his career, Chayan has been committed to fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development. His innovative training techniques, including the use of virtual training sessions, training videos, and interactive workshops, have made learning engaging and effective. He has also been a mentor to many, providing career guidance and supporting employees in their career advancement.
