Kallol Chowdhury: The Driving Force Behind Novotel Kolkata’s Engineering Success

Kallol Chowdhury’s career in the hospitality industry is a remarkable tale of expertise, leadership, and perseverance, culminating in his current role as Engineering Head at Novotel Kolkata – Hotel & Residences. His journey began with Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited, where he spent eight years refining his technical skills and gaining hands-on experience in hotel engineering operations.

From there, Kallol transitioned to the Park Hotel, where he served as Associate Director of Engineering. His role involved overseeing engineering projects and maintaining the hotel’s infrastructure. His innovative problem-solving abilities and dedication to excellence quickly became evident, earning him respect and recognition within the industry.

Kallol then moved to Peerless Hotels Limited as Chief Engineer. In this capacity, he was responsible for managing all engineering operations, ensuring that the hotel’s facilities were maintained to the highest standards. His tenure at Peerless Hotels was marked by significant improvements in operational efficiency and infrastructure management.

Seeking new challenges, Kallol joined Novotel Kolkata as Head of Engineering. His leadership skills and technical expertise played a crucial role in enhancing the hotel’s engineering operations. He introduced new technologies and processes that improved maintenance efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Kallol’s next significant role was at Peerless Hotels Ltd, where he served as Group Head Technical. In this senior position, he oversaw engineering operations across multiple properties, ensuring consistent quality and operational standards. His ability to manage complex technical projects and lead diverse teams was instrumental in maintaining the high standards of Peerless Hotels.

Returning to Novotel Kolkata – Hotel & Residences, Kallol now serves as the Engineering Head. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing all engineering functions, from maintenance and repairs to implementing innovative solutions for energy efficiency and sustainability. His leadership ensures that the hotel’s infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently, providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests.
