With nearly two decades in luxury hospitality, Amit Malhotra, Hotel Manager of The St. Regis Goa Resort, has been a key force in translating vision into reality through seamless execution and operational leadership. As the on-ground driving force, Amit has played a crucial role in ensuring the resort’s repositioning as “The Soulful Sanctuary” is brought to life with precision, aligning day-to-day operations with the brand’s global luxury standards.

Since joining The St. Regis Goa Resort in October 2022, Amit has been instrumental in enhancing guest experiences, optimizing commercial operations, and elevating service excellence. Working alongside the resort’s General Manager, he has been responsible for implementing key strategies that have resulted in record-breaking revenue performance in 2024 and strengthened the resort’s reputation as a premier luxury destination in India. His ability to blend meticulous execution with innovation has ensured that the resort’s culinary offerings, wellness experiences, and butler services consistently exceed guest expectations.

A Proven Leader in Luxury Hospitality

Amit’s career spans some of the most prestigious hospitality brands, including The Leela, Taj Hotels, Grand Hyatt, and The Imperial. Before joining The St. Regis Goa Resort, he was EAM – F&B at The Leela Goa, where he led the transformation of the resort’s dining experiences, elevating guest engagement and profitability.

During his tenure at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, Amit led the banquet operations, orchestrating flawless high-profile events and grand-scale banquets that catered to heads of state, dignitaries, and global celebrities. His expertise in executing seamless luxury hospitality experiences reinforced the hotel’s reputation for hosting some of the country’s most exclusive events.

At Taj Exotica, Goa, Amit played a pivotal role in repositioning the resort’s F&B operations and outlets, driving them to earn prestigious industry accolades while enhancing the guest dining experience. His ability to blend creativity with operational excellence ensured that the resort’s culinary offerings stood out in India’s competitive luxury hospitality landscape.

Beyond India, Amit contributed to The St. Regis Jakarta’s pre-opening success as a Pre-Opening Trainer, where he was responsible for developing and conducting training programs that set the foundation for luxury service standards at the new property. His expertise in training and operational excellence helped shape the guest experience at one of the brand’s most anticipated openings.
