Novotel Guwahati GS Road Appoints Cham Hun Chakhap as Executive Chef

Novotel Guwahati GS Road is pleased to announce the appointment of Chef Cham Hun Chakhap as its new Executive Chef. A culinary leader with two decades of experience across premium hospitality brands, Chef Cham is set to bring his signature blend of innovation, precision, and multicultural flair to the hotel’s dining landscape.

Prior to joining Novotel Guwahati, Chef Cham was the Pre-opening Executive Chef at Vivanta Chitwan, Nepal, where he played a pivotal role in setting up and leading the culinary operations. He began his culinary journey in 2005 at Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai, and has since held key roles at iconic properties including Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre and Marriott Executive Apartments, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, Hotel Kiranshree Grand Guwahati, InterContinental Marine Drive Mumbai, and The Westin Pune.

Chef Cham’s expansive expertise covers Pan Asian, Indian, Western, and Tandoor cuisines. His ability to interpret global food trends and blend them with local preferences makes him a dynamic force in the kitchen. A graduate in Hotel Management from NEIMS College, Assam, he combines academic rigour with a hands-on, guest-centric approach to leadership.

Originally from Namphake, Naharkatia, Assam, Chef Cham has drawn inspiration from culinary explorations across China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and Nepal, with Thailand’s street food culture holding a particularly special place in his heart.

Chef Cham’s appointment signals a fresh chapter for Novotel Guwahati GS Road’s F&B offerings, as the hotel continues to create memorable, locally inspired, and globally appreciated dining experiences for its guests.
