In a major step toward advancing hospitality education and employment readiness in India, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and The Lalit Suri Hospitality School (TLSHS) have entered a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration aims to provide industry-aligned, practical, and inclusive training programs that will prepare young professionals for the evolving needs of the hospitality sector.
Signed by Dr. Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson & Managing Director of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, and Mr. Rajan Bahadur, CEO of THSC, the MoU reflects a shared vision for structured skilling, certification, and enhanced employability, especially for youth from underrepresented communities.
Backed by support from Ms. Jyoti Mayal (Chairperson, THSC), Mr. Keshav Suri (Executive Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group), and Mr. Anupam Mukherjee (Dean, TLSHS), the partnership will bring real-world hospitality training into the classroom, aligning academic knowledge with industry demands.
Key highlights include:
A focus on inclusive education and equal opportunity, including training support for the LGBTQIA+ community and youth from economically weaker backgrounds
Delivery of practical, globally-relevant skills through upgraded curriculums, real-time exposure, and industry certifications
Strengthening of India’s skill ecosystem to meet the growing demand for job-ready hospitality professionals
This partnership reinforces the joint commitment to build a skilled, service-driven workforce—supporting not just employment but nation-building through tourism.
