In a powerful demonstration of hospitality with heart, the Marriott Business Council Oman has achieved a milestone of over 5,000 hours of community service in just the first half of 2025—reinforcing Marriott International’s commitment to “Serve Our World.”
Made up of passionate leaders and associates from six premier properties across the Sultanate—JW Marriott Hotel Muscat, The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort, Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, W Muscat, Sheraton Oman Hotel, and Aloft Muscat—the Council has turned collective compassion into measurable action.
Purpose in Action: A Community-First Approach
Led by Samir Messaoudi, Chairman of Marriott Business Council Oman and General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Muscat, the Council launched a diverse lineup of community initiatives that touch lives and inspire others to serve.
Ramadan outreach included iftar meal distributions to taxi drivers, dinners for refugee families, and a charity bazaar raising funds for Eid Al Fitr gifts and essentials.
On World Earth Day, associates united to clean Azaiba Beach, while World Ocean Day saw volunteers removing marine waste near Al Bustan Palace, underlining Marriott’s strong environmental ethos.
These heartfelt initiatives delivered tangible impact:
5,000+ volunteer hours contributed
OMR 7,500+ in in-kind donations supporting displaced communities, vulnerable families, and frontline workers
OMR 5,400+ raised through internal fundraising campaigns, channelled to charitable organisations across Oman
Beyond the Numbers: Hospitality with Heart
More than just figures, these efforts are a living expression of Marriott’s Serve 360 platform—a global commitment to sustainability and social impact. The Council has also hosted blood donation camps, joined community marathons, and conducted career fairs and educational workshops, reaching diverse corners of society.
“It is inspiring to witness how our associates from various Marriott properties work hand in hand for a shared purpose—to make this world a better place to live in,” said Samir Messaoudi. “Their energy, empathy, and commitment reflect what Marriott truly stands for: purpose-driven hospitality with global impact.”
Looking Ahead: Building Momentum for a Greater Tomorrow
With the second half of 2025 underway, Marriott Business Council Oman is poised to scale up its social impact even further. A calendar of high-impact activations, sustainability drives, and inclusive community outreach programs is already in motion—continuing the Council’s mission to serve with purpose, lead with heart, and leave a legacy of care.
