India, 8 September 2025: IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, has announced the appointment of Jaideep Dang as Head of Development, South West Asia, marking a significant step in the group’s ambitious expansion plans across India and the region.
Reporting directly to Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, Jaideep will spearhead IHG’s growth strategy as the group aims to double its presence in India, operating 100 hotels across luxury, premium, and mainstream segments in the next 3–5 years.
With over 22 years of experience in hospitality and real estate, Jaideep brings a deep understanding of strategic development, investment advisory, and project execution.
Before joining IHG, he served as Managing Director – Hotels & Hospitality Group at JLL India, leading advisory and transaction services across India and South Asia. Under his leadership, JLL became a market leader in hotel investment sales and feasibility studies.
His earlier role as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development at The Oberoi Group further cemented his reputation as a hospitality visionary, driving hotel project planning and expansion strategies that aligned perfectly with market demands.
As Head of Development, Jaideep will focus on:
Identifying new hotel opportunities across emerging and established markets.
Shaping strategic development pipelines for luxury, premium, and mid-scale segments.
Forging partnerships to support IHG’s vision for sustainable and guest-focused growth.
Speaking about his new role, Jaideep said,

A graduate in Architecture from New Delhi, Jaideep combines design thinking with business acumen, supported by leadership certifications from MIT Sloan School of Management and IIM Bangalore.
As a member of the National Committee on Tourism with CII, he actively contributes to shaping policy frameworks and industry best practices in hospitality and real estate.
