Eros Hotel New Delhi Welcomes the Festive Season with a Joyful Christmas Cake-Mixing Ceremony

New Delhi slowly starts glowing this time of year. The air gets a little crisper, markets buzz a little louder, and the countdown to Christmas quietly begins. Riding that wave of festive cheer, Eros Hotel New Delhi kicked off the season with its much-loved annual cake-mixing ceremony, held on 7 November 2025.

And trust me, the celebration was nothing short of magical.

Stepping into the hotel felt like entering a Christmas postcard. Think twinkling fairy lights, lush Christmas trees tucked into every corner, cheerful décor, and a warm red-and-gold palette that instantly lifted the mood. The hotel rolled out the red carpet for the occasion, welcoming more than 50 guests — from food and beverage influencers to city personalities, alongside hotel associates and the ever-gracious General Manager, Mr. Davinder Juj.

The ceremony unfolded at the beautifully lit poolside lawn, where long tables were covered with a rainbow of cake-mixing ingredients. Bowls brimmed with almonds, cashews, apricots, raisins, orange peel, black currants, pistachios, and plump dates. The air carried the fragrance of festive spices like cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves — the kind of aroma that instantly transports you to holiday season memories.

Leading the tradition were Chef Diwas Wadhera and Mr. Juj himself. Wearing bright red aprons, they initiated the mixing, setting off waves of excitement across the lawn. Guests and staff joined in with big smiles, pouring soaked fruits and nuts into giant containers, symbolizing abundance, gratitude, and the official beginning of the Christmas season.

Speaking at the event, General Manager Davinder Juj said,
“Christmas is almost around the corner and to commemorate this festival we organized the annual cake mixing ceremony. Through this age-old ritual, we aim to ignite the spirit of joy and togetherness, ensuring that the season continues to bring positivity, prosperity, success, and good fortune to all.”

Once the mixing wrapped up, guests settled in for a delightful high-tea experience, featuring festive bites that perfectly matched the warm and comforting flavours of the ceremony.
