Eight out of ten entrepreneurial ventures fail.
It’s a statistic that discourages many — yet every day, new dreamers choose to step forward anyway.
Why?
Because sometimes, passion is louder than fear.
Because purpose feels stronger than security.
Because deep down, we all want a life that feels more authentic — more us.
This is a story of courage, conviction, and redefining success in the world of travel and hospitality.
For twenty-five years, life followed a familiar script.
A successful corporate career.
Luxury cars.
Business-class flights.
Five-star hotels across the world.
As Chief Operating Officer of India’s largest inbound tourism company, everything looked perfect from the outside. But in 2006, comfort began to feel restrictive. The desire wasn’t for more luxury — it was for more meaning.
Walking away from corporate life wasn’t easy. There was no hotel-school background. No formal hospitality training. Just a stubborn belief that travel could feel more personal, more soulful, more human.
That belief took shape in 2009 with the launch of Tree of Life Resort, just outside Jaipur — fourteen private luxury villas spread across five serene acres.
It didn’t follow industry norms.
No loud buffets
No crowded lobbies
No cookie-cutter hospitality
Pets were always welcome
Instead, the focus was on silence, space, and genuine connection.
Critics were quick to doubt. Budgets stretched thin. Emotions ran high. There were nights filled with exhaustion — and yes, tears. But every morning brought back faith.
And slowly, the risk began to bloom into reward.
While many chased ROI, this journey followed a different metric — ROE: Return on Experiences.
Staying intentionally small.
Keeping hospitality deeply personal.
Letting guests feel like they belonged, not just stayed.
What began as one quiet retreat grew into fifteen boutique resorts by 2022, proving that soulful travel has a powerful place in modern tourism.
Eventually, the brand found its next chapter under the stewardship of Taj Group, allowing its founder to step back with pride — not exhaustion.
By 2023, the journey with luxury resorts felt complete.
But the love for travel — especially meaningful, immersive travel — remained strong.
Today, that passion lives on through Snowfox Escapes, a venture focused on intimate trekking experiences, raw landscapes, and human connection. The dream now is quieter, slower — perhaps even a small mountain café someday, where stories are exchanged over warm cups and cold mountain air.
This is not just a story about building resorts.
It’s about choosing courage over convenience.
About redefining luxury as peace, privacy, and presence.
About understanding that the most powerful journeys aren’t always across continents — sometimes, they’re inward.
For travelers, entrepreneurs, and dreamers alike, this journey reminds us:
The bravest paths are rarely the safest — but they’re often the most rewarding.
