Thomas Mauman Appointed General Manager of Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe

Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe has announced the appointment of Thomas Mauman as its new General Manager, bringing more than two decades of hospitality leadership experience to the popular South Lake Tahoe destination.

Located in South Lake Tahoe, California, the resort is Margaritaville’s only ski destination and the area’s only all-suite resort, offering guests a unique mix of mountain adventure, entertainment, dining, and the brand’s signature laid-back atmosphere.

With a strong reputation for people-focused leadership and delivering measurable business results, Mauman will oversee the resort as it enters its next phase of growth, with a focus on enhancing guest experiences, strengthening operations, and building an engaged team culture.

Thomas Mauman Brings More Than 20 Years of Hospitality Experience

Mauman joins Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe with an extensive background in hotel management and operations. Over the course of his career, he has worked with several major hospitality brands and developed a reputation for building high-performing teams while maintaining strong operational standards.

Before taking on his new role at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe, Mauman served as General Manager of The Montrose at Beverly Hills. His previous experience also includes senior operational positions with Renaissance Hotels, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, and Marriott Hotels, as well as serving as General Manager at Hampton Inn & Suites.

His professional experience covers several important areas of hospitality, including hotel operations, revenue growth, commercial strategy, employee engagement, and guest service.

This combination of operational and commercial expertise positions him well to lead a resort that operates in one of California’s most competitive and popular year-round tourism markets.

A Focus on Guest Experience and Resort Growth

As General Manager, Mauman will be responsible for overseeing the resort’s day-to-day operations while helping shape its long-term growth strategy.

His priorities will include driving revenue and business performance, improving guest satisfaction, developing a motivated team, and continuing to enhance the resort’s dining and entertainment offerings.

The resort features five distinct dining concepts, giving Mauman another important area of focus as Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe continues to develop its food and beverage experience.

He will also play a key role in expanding the social and lifestyle experiences that are closely associated with the Margaritaville brand.

Where Mountain Adventure Meets the Margaritaville Lifestyle

Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe stands out from traditional mountain resorts by combining the outdoor appeal of Lake Tahoe with Margaritaville’s relaxed and playful hospitality style.

As the brand’s only ski resort, the property gives visitors easy access to the region’s year-round outdoor attractions while offering all-suite accommodations, dining, entertainment, and spaces designed around social experiences.

That combination makes the resort appealing to travelers looking for more than a traditional ski getaway. Guests can enjoy mountain adventures during the day and return to a lively, laid-back resort environment in the evening.

Mauman’s leadership is expected to further strengthen this balance between operational excellence and the welcoming Margaritaville experience.

A New Era for Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe

The appointment of Thomas Mauman marks an important new chapter for Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe.

With more than 20 years of experience across well-known hotel brands, Mauman brings a leadership approach centered on people, performance, and guest satisfaction. His background in hotel operations, team development, and business growth could help the resort build on its position as one of Lake Tahoe’s most distinctive hospitality destinations.

As the resort continues to attract travelers throughout the year, Mauman will be tasked with strengthening its operations while ensuring guests experience the fun, relaxed atmosphere that defines the Margaritaville brand.

For visitors planning a Lake Tahoe getaway, the coming months could bring an exciting period of continued growth and fresh experiences at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe.
