Mandarin Oriental, Geneva has appointed Christian Wildhaber as its new General Manager, with the appointment officially taking effect on September 1, 2026. A native of Vevey, Switzerland, Wildhaber has built an impressive career working in some of the world’s most dynamic hospitality markets. His return to the country marks a significant new chapter as he takes charge of one of Geneva’s prominent luxury hotels.
Extensive International Hospitality Experience
Wildhaber joins Mandarin Oriental, Geneva after serving as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, a position he has held since August 2025.
Throughout his career, he has worked across a diverse range of international destinations, including the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Sydney and Guangzhou. This experience has given him a broad understanding of luxury hospitality and the expectations of an increasingly international clientele.
His professional background extends beyond day-to-day hotel operations. Wildhaber has also been involved in hotel openings, repositioning initiatives and major property transformations, giving him valuable experience in managing hotels through periods of change and development.
