Salt Lake City, Utah: Asher Adams, Autograph Collection has welcomed hospitality industry veteran Leon Young as its new Managing Director, bringing more than 25 years of hotel leadership experience to the downtown Salt Lake City property.
In his new role, Young will oversee the hotel’s overall strategy, day-to-day operations, team development and continued growth as Asher Adams strengthens its presence in Salt Lake City’s evolving hospitality landscape.
Leon Young Brings More Than 25 Years of Hospitality Experience
Young joins Asher Adams following his tenure as Managing Director of The Standard, High Line in New York City. During his time at the 338-room property, he was responsible for hotel operations while also overseeing its diverse food, beverage and entertainment offerings.
His previous leadership experience includes serving as Area Managing Director for the properties formerly known as Ace Hotel New Orleans and Maison de la Luz. There, Young played a role in repositioning initiatives while helping shape and expand the properties’ food and beverage concepts.
Earlier in his career, Young held a series of leadership positions with W Hotels across several major U.S. hospitality markets, including Hollywood, San Francisco, Scottsdale, New Orleans and Chicago.
His career has also been recognized through several industry honors, including the former Starwood Hotels & Resorts Award for Heroism.
A Historic Setting Meets Contemporary Hospitality
Asher Adams, Autograph Collection occupies a distinctive location in downtown Salt Lake City, inside the city’s historic Union Pacific Depot. Opened in 2024, the hotel brings together the architectural character of the restored train station with a modern eight-story tower.
The property features 225 guest rooms, including 13 Historic Suites situated within the original depot. The combination of historic surroundings and contemporary accommodations gives the hotel a distinctive identity within Salt Lake City’s growing hotel scene.
