Club Med has appointed Michelle Davies as General Manager of Club Med Singapore and Malaysia, expanding her leadership responsibilities to cover the company’s Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, including Singapore, Malaysia and emerging South Asia markets.
Davies succeeds Olivier Monceau, who has led Club Med Singapore and Malaysia since 2022. Bringing more than 15 years of experience across the hospitality and travel industry, she takes on the role with extensive international leadership experience and a strong track record of driving business growth.
Her appointment marks an important step in Club Med’s regional leadership strategy as the company continues to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and emerging South Asian markets.
Michelle Davies Brings More Than 15 Years of Hospitality Experience
Michelle Davies has built an international career across the hospitality and travel sectors, developing expertise in business development, market expansion and leading multicultural teams.
Before her new appointment, she spent six years leading Club Med’s Pacific market. During this period, she guided the business through its post-pandemic recovery and helped establish the region among Club Med’s top five global markets.
Under her leadership, the Pacific market achieved record-breaking business performance, particularly across its ski resort portfolio. Her strategic focus on strengthening direct bookings and travel agent partnerships also contributed to the region’s continued growth.
The Pacific team received further recognition after being named Most Popular Accommodation Group at the National Travel Industry Awards for three consecutive years.
Expanding Leadership Responsibilities Across Southeast Asia
Davies expanded her responsibilities in 2025 to include Club Med’s emerging SEAP markets, giving her additional exposure to the region’s diverse travel markets and commercial opportunities.
In her new position, she will focus on strengthening Club Med’s position as a preferred premium all-inclusive holiday brand for families and couples in Singapore and Malaysia.
Her priorities will include expanding direct booking opportunities, strengthening travel agent distribution channels and introducing successful business strategies developed across the Pacific and emerging markets.
With her international experience and understanding of regional travel trends, Davies will play an important role in supporting Club Med’s growth ambitions across these markets.
Leadership Transition Across Club Med’s Pacific and SEAP Markets
As part of the leadership transition, Marc Letourneau will succeed Michelle Davies as General Manager of Club Med Pacific.
Both leaders will continue working closely together on the company’s travel trade strategy, ensuring continuity across their respective markets.
Davies will also collaborate with Rachael Harding, CEO of Club Med SEAP, and Sebastian Favre, VP DCP SEAP, to support the company’s wider regional growth objectives.
The leadership structure reflects Club Med’s focus on strengthening collaboration, distribution partnerships and business development across its international markets.
Olivier Monceau’s Contribution to Club Med Singapore and Malaysia
The appointment also marks the conclusion of Olivier Monceau’s leadership of Club Med Singapore and Malaysia, a position he has held since 2022.
During his tenure, Monceau strengthened the company’s business strategy across both markets and helped diversify Club Med’s resort portfolio in Malaysia.
One of his significant contributions was laying the groundwork for Club Med Borneo, which achieved strong commercial success ahead of its opening. He also initiated the complete revamp of Club Med Cherating.
Beyond Malaysia, Monceau helped strengthen the popularity of Club Med’s Japanese ski resorts among Singaporean and Malaysian travellers.
He also contributed to the transformation of the brand’s sun holiday portfolio and supported its evolving lifestyle positioning, helping create new opportunities to connect with travellers across the region.
Club Med’s Continued Growth in Southeast Asia
Michelle Davies’ appointment comes at an important time for Club Med as the company continues to develop its premium all-inclusive holiday offering across Southeast Asia and emerging South Asian markets.
With changing traveller expectations and growing interest in premium holiday experiences, strengthening distribution networks and maintaining strong relationships with travel partners remain important priorities.
Davies’ experience in building successful travel markets, developing commercial strategies and leading international teams provides a strong foundation for her expanded responsibilities.
Her leadership will support Club Med’s efforts to reach more families and couples while strengthening its position in the competitive premium all-inclusive travel market.
The appointment signals a continued focus on regional expansion, stronger travel trade partnerships and delivering memorable holiday experiences across the Asia-Pacific region.
