Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences is delighted to welcome Rajneesh Kumar as its new General Manager. With an illustrious career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry, he brings strategic vision, operational expertise, and a deep passion for guest-centric excellence to one of Eastern India’s most vibrant hotels.
Rajneesh’s hospitality journey began in 2004 as a Senior Guest Service Supervisor, steadily progressing to a Head of Department (HOD) role in 2009. By 2013, he had joined the Executive Committee, and in 2018, he was elevated to General Manager of an upscale property.
Most recently, Rajneesh led Courtyard by Marriott Faridabad – Aravalli Resort, demonstrating his expertise in operational excellence, revenue management, and guest experience innovation. His leadership experience across international hotel brands makes him a perfect fit for Novotel Kolkata, known for its blend of contemporary elegance and warm hospitality.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Rajneesh Kumar shared:

As General Manager, Rajneesh Kumar will steer Novotel Kolkata into its next chapter, further solidifying its position as a premier choice for business, leisure, weddings, and dining experiences.
With 340 well-appointed rooms, 30,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space, and diverse F&B offerings, the hotel has continually evolved to offer seamless, personalized hospitality. Under his leadership, the focus will remain on enhancing service standards, optimizing operations, and deepening community engagement.
Beyond his professional commitments, Rajneesh is passionate about leadership literature and believes in empowering teams to achieve their best. In his leisure time, he enjoys Bollywood movies, traveling with his family, and exploring nature, finding inspiration and relaxation through these experiences.
