Manas Pattanayak: A Journey of Expertise in Procurement Management

 

 

Manas Pattanayak‘s career journey reflects a rich tapestry of experience in procurement management across the hospitality industry. He is currently serving as the *Purchase Manager at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts*, Goa, where he has been contributing his expertise for over a year, since March 2023. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing procurement operations, ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of supplies and services to meet the luxurious standards of the St. Regis brand.

 

Before joining St. Regis, Manas held a similar position at *Novotel Kolkata Hotel and Residences*, where he worked from July 2021 to March 2023. His role involved managing the hotel’s purchasing functions, streamlining processes, and optimizing cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards. This experience further honed his ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments and deliver results aligned with organizational goals.

Prior to his time at Novotel, Manas worked with *Marriott Hotels* from November 2017 to July 2021 as a Purchase Manager in the Indore area. Over this 3-year and 9-month period, he played a key role in ensuring seamless supply chain operations, supporting the hotel’s operational needs, and contributing to Marriott’s overall success.

 

Manas also has a wealth of experience from his tenure at *Aamby Valley City, Sahara India Flagship Project*, where he served as Purchase Manager from November 2013 to 2017. Here, he was instrumental in managing both general and food & beverage procurement functions for the project, further sharpening his procurement skills across diverse categories.

 

Earlier in his career, he worked as *Assistant Manager of Purchase* at *Daman Hospitality Pvt Ltd, Delta Corp Ltd, and later as **Purchase Manager* at *Shree Balajee Landmark Hotels Pvt Ltd. He started his career journey at **Specialty Restaurant Ltd*, Mumbai, where he worked from 2002 to 2010, gaining solid foundational experience in the procurement sector.
