With over 25 years of international experience across world-renowned hospitality brands, Safwan brings a unique blend of global expertise, strategic innovation, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Having held senior leadership positions with prestigious names like Four Seasons and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Safwan is celebrated for his success in driving record-breaking revenue, luxury guest experiences, and award-winning hospitality innovations. His impressive career includes overseeing five ultra-luxury hotel openings and conceptualizing world-class F&B experiences that have set new standards in the industry.
Prior to joining Raffles Dubai, Safwan served as Managing Director at Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, where his leadership transformed the property into one of North America’s most celebrated luxury hotels. His reputation as a dynamic leader and strategic visionary stems from his ability to combine operational excellence with creative asset repositioning, leading to long-term brand value and guest loyalty.
A Canadian national with Middle Eastern heritage, Safwan also brings valuable regional insights, having collaborated extensively with tourism boards and hospitality stakeholders across the Middle East. His educational background includes a degree in Business Administration and Economics and executive programs at Cornell University in Hotel Real Estate Investment and Executive Leadership.
