Suveer Sodhi Wins Top 20 General Managers – People’s Choice Awards 2025

Suveer Sodhi Named Among Top 20 General Managers at People’s Choice Awards 2025

In an industry where leadership is measured not just by numbers but by people, Suveer Sodhi stands out as a name redefining modern hospitality. The Multi-Property General Manager of Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru, Suveer has been crowned a Winner of the Top 20 General Managers – People’s Choice Awards 2025, a recognition that celebrates bold leadership, trust-driven culture, and exceptional commercial performance.

Suveer’s journey is anything but conventional. Starting his career in Food & Beverage, he honed his craft with some of the world’s most respected luxury brands, including Shangri-La, Hyatt, and Aman Resorts. Instead of following a predictable corporate path, he took a courageous leap—launching his own restaurant concept and managing independent restaurants. This entrepreneurial phase sharpened his commercial instincts and shaped the people-first leadership style he is known for today.

At just 33 years old, Suveer became one of the youngest General Managers of a five-star luxury resort—an achievement driven by vision, grit, and execution rather than age. Today, at Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott Outer Ring Road, he continues to push boundaries, positioning both hotels among the highest ADR performers in the Marriott portfolio.

What truly sets Suveer apart is his unwavering focus on people. Under his leadership, the hotels achieved a 97% Leadership Index score, an impressive 85% retention rate, and a 2% reduction in voluntary turnover. Initiatives like “Coffee with Suveer” and the implementation of Marriott’s “Life on Time” program foster transparency, trust, and genuine connection with associates.

Beyond the balance sheet, Suveer is deeply committed to community, inclusion, and sustainability. From Project Pranitha and increased female representation to the inclusion of persons with disabilities, his leadership creates impact far beyond hotel walls. Sustainability initiatives such as an on-site bottling plant and a partnership with Winnow, reducing food waste by 50%, reflect his belief in responsible hospitality.

Since joining in early 2024, Suveer has led the properties to number one in ADR and market share, delivering the highest bottom line in the region with a remarkable 60% GOP. Guest satisfaction has risen sharply, with strong Marriott Guest Voice scores and a 7% increase in F&B guest satisfaction.

By seamlessly blending commercial excellence with empathy, inclusivity, and purpose, Suveer Sodhi emerges as a true role model for the next generation of hospitality leaders—and a thoroughly deserving winner of the Top 20 General Managers – People’s Choice Awards 2025.
