Mysore, 11 February 2026 – Luxury hospitality in Mysore enters an exciting new chapter as Grand Mercure Mysore announces the appointment of Suresh Kumar as its new Food and Beverage Manager. With over two decades of rich experience in the hospitality industry, Suresh brings a rare blend of operational excellence, strategic foresight, and people-first leadership to the role.
Suresh Kumar is widely regarded as a seasoned professional known for shaping distinctive dining destinations. Prior to joining Grand Mercure Mysore, he was associated with ibis Styles Mysuru, where he played a pivotal role during the hotel’s formative phase. His strategic leadership helped define and position its signature outlets—The Verandah, Flamingo Bar, and the rooftop hotspot KA 16—transforming them into preferred dining venues for both locals and travelers.
His impressive career journey also includes leadership stints as Banquet Manager at Novotel and ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, as well as Restaurant Manager at Taj Hotels, where he further refined his expertise in large-scale operations, guest engagement, and service innovation.
At Grand Mercure Mysore, Suresh will oversee end-to-end food and beverage operations, leading the hotel’s signature outlets—La Uppu, By The Blue, and Silk Bar. His focus will be on curating refined, consistent, and culturally rooted dining experiences that resonate with the brand’s philosophy of Discover Local, Grandly.
Leveraging his strengths in menu engineering, cost optimization, and strategic business planning, Suresh aims to elevate service standards while enhancing guest satisfaction and overall business performance.
