Omaxe Announces ₹6,200 Crore Hospitality Expansion to Develop 19 Hotels Across India

Omaxe Strengthens Its Hospitality Vision with a Massive Investment

India’s hospitality and tourism sector is set to witness a significant transformation as Omaxe Limited has officially announced the launch of its dedicated hospitality business vertical. The leading real estate developer plans to invest approximately ₹6,200 crore over the next four to five years to develop 19 hotels across five Indian states, reinforcing its long-term vision of creating integrated urban destinations.

The ambitious expansion is designed to cater to the country’s rapidly growing demand for business travel, religious tourism, leisure vacations, destination weddings, and transit-based hospitality. The proposed investment will be implemented in phases, subject to regulatory approvals, project feasibility, and prevailing market conditions.

19 Hotels Planned Across 13 Cities in Five States

Under this strategic hospitality initiative, Omaxe aims to develop nearly 5 million square feet of hotel infrastructure spread across 13 cities in five states.

The majority of the projects will be located in Uttar Pradesh, where the company plans to develop 12 hotels. These include:

  • Two hotels in Ayodhya
  • Three hotels in Lucknow
  • One hotel each in Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, and Gorakhpur
  • Two hotels in Kaushambi
  • Two hotels in Vrindavan

Beyond Uttar Pradesh, Omaxe will also establish:

  • One hotel in New Delhi
  • One hotel in Faridabad
  • One hotel in Ujjain
  • Four hotels across Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Ludhiana, including two properties in Chandigarh

This widespread presence reflects Omaxe’s focus on high-growth cities, pilgrimage destinations, and emerging tourism hubs.

Integrated Hospitality Destinations for Modern Travelers

Rather than developing standalone hotels, Omaxe intends to integrate these hospitality assets within its existing townships, commercial projects, mixed-use developments, and urban infrastructure initiatives.

This integrated development strategy will allow visitors to enjoy accommodation alongside shopping, entertainment, business spaces, and recreational facilities within a single destination, enhancing the overall guest experience.

The move also supports Omaxe’s objective of building long-term recurring revenue streams through hospitality while strengthening the value of its existing real estate portfolio.

Gateway Hotel at The Omaxe State to Lead the Expansion

One of the flagship developments under the new hospitality vertical will be a 158-key Gateway Hotel at The Omaxe State in Dwarka, New Delhi.

The Omaxe State is a 50.4-acre integrated destination being developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The project combines hospitality, retail, sports, entertainment, and commercial spaces into one large mixed-use destination.

Additionally, Omaxe plans to introduce transit-oriented hospitality projects in Uttar Pradesh through its Public-Private Partnership with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), targeting travelers using major transport corridors across the state.

Hospitality Portfolio Designed for Every Type of Traveler

Omaxe’s upcoming hotel portfolio will cater to a wide range of travel segments, including:

  • Business travelers
  • Leisure tourists
  • Religious pilgrims
  • Destination weddings
  • MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions)
  • Long-stay corporate guests

The portfolio will include:

  • Midscale branded hotels
  • Upscale hotels
  • Premium luxury properties
  • High-capacity pilgrimage hotels
  • Branded serviced apartments
  • Extended-stay studio accommodations

Each property will be designed according to the tourism demand, visitor profile, and travel patterns of its respective destination.

Strong Revenue Potential

According to Omaxe, once the hospitality portfolio reaches operational stability, the business has the potential to generate approximately ₹1,000 crore in annual revenue, depending on occupancy levels, market demand, project execution, and other operational factors.

The company is also currently engaged in advanced discussions with several leading domestic and international hospitality brands for hotel management and branding partnerships. Official announcements regarding these collaborations are expected after the finalization of agreements.

Commenting on the expansion, Mohit Goel, Managing Director of Omaxe Ltd., stated that hospitality is a natural extension of the company’s integrated development strategy.

He highlighted that improving infrastructure, stronger connectivity, rising religious tourism, and increasing travel demand across emerging Indian cities have created a significant need for quality hospitality infrastructure.
