Andaz Delhi and Jaypore Celebrate Indian Craft Through Immersive Block Printing Workshops

Luxury hospitality is increasingly becoming about meaningful experiences rather than just exceptional stays. This summer, Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt, partnered with Jaypore, one of India’s leading artisanal lifestyle brands, to create a unique cultural experience that celebrated India’s rich heritage of handcrafted traditions.

Blending hospitality, creativity, and craftsmanship, the collaboration invited guests to step beyond sightseeing and become active participants in one of India’s oldest artistic traditions—block printing.

A Celebration of Indian Craftsmanship

Throughout June 2026, Andaz Delhi transformed into a creative hub where guests could discover the timeless beauty of Indian craftsmanship. The collaboration reflected a shared vision between Andaz Delhi and Jaypore to preserve traditional art forms while presenting them in contemporary and engaging ways.

Rather than simply showcasing handcrafted products, the initiative encouraged visitors to understand the stories, patience, and generations of skill that define India’s artisan communities.

Every experience was thoughtfully curated to create a deeper appreciation for India’s creative legacy while allowing guests to take home memories crafted by their own hands.

Interactive Block Printing Workshops

The highlight of the collaboration was a series of immersive block printing workshops hosted within the vibrant spaces of Andaz Delhi.

Designed for beginners as well as craft enthusiasts, these hands-on sessions introduced participants to one of India’s most iconic textile traditions. Under expert guidance, guests explored the intricate techniques, patterns, and history behind block printing while creating personalized pieces that reflected their own creativity.

The workshops encouraged guests to slow down, disconnect from everyday routines, and experience the satisfaction of creating something meaningful through traditional craftsmanship.

Learning from Master Artisans

The workshops featured some of Jaypore’s experienced artisans who have dedicated years to preserving India’s handmade traditions.

Sessions held on 20th and 21st June were conducted by Master Artisan Naseem Ahamad, while Master Artisan Jilajeet led workshops on 27th and 28th June.

Both artisans have been associated with Jaypore for over seven years and have contributed significantly to many of the brand’s bestselling handcrafted collections. Their expertise offered guests a rare opportunity to interact directly with skilled craftsmen and gain insights into the precision, dedication, and artistic expression behind every handcrafted creation.

Hospitality Meets Cultural Storytelling

Known for celebrating Delhi’s vibrant culture through art, architecture, and locally inspired experiences, Andaz Delhi provided the perfect setting for this collaboration.

The hotel has long focused on creating immersive guest experiences that reflect the city’s heritage rather than offering conventional luxury alone. Every corner of the property is designed to tell stories inspired by Delhi, making the partnership with Jaypore a natural extension of its philosophy.

The collaboration strengthened Andaz Delhi’s commitment to delivering experiences that inspire cultural discovery, creativity, and meaningful human connections.

Leadership Perspective

Speaking about the initiative, Hardip Marwah, Cluster General Manager, Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt and Hyatt Delhi Residences, shared that hospitality becomes truly meaningful when it builds genuine connections with local culture and communities.

He emphasized that the collaboration allowed guests to experience India’s enduring craft traditions through interactive and contemporary experiences, encouraging them to discover the stories behind every handcrafted piece while creating lasting memories rooted in the destination.

Jaypore’s Vision Behind the Collaboration

Reflecting on the partnership, Vandana Gupta, Creative Head at Jaypore, highlighted that craft is far more than the final product—it carries generations of stories, traditions, and human connections.

She explained that Jaypore has always celebrated India’s diverse artisan communities by bringing traditional craftsmanship into modern lifestyles. Partnering with Andaz Delhi created an opportunity for guests to engage directly with artisans, understand the thoughtful process behind handmade creations, and develop a deeper appreciation for India’s artistic heritage.

A Thoughtfully Curated Gifting Experience

Beyond the workshops, guests also explored Jaypore’s beautifully curated home gifting collection, featuring handcrafted products that showcased the elegance of Indian artisanship.

The collaboration also extended into Father’s Day celebrations, where every father visiting Andaz Delhi received a handcrafted gift as a token of appreciation. The thoughtful gesture added a personal touch to the overall experience while reinforcing the value of handmade craftsmanship.

Creating Lasting Cultural Connections

While handcrafted products offer beauty and elegance, participating in the creative process allows people to form a much deeper emotional connection with traditional art forms.

Through this initiative, guests experienced not only the techniques of block printing but also the stories, patience, and dedication that artisans invest in every creation. It transformed craft from something admired into something personally experienced.

The collaboration ultimately demonstrated how luxury hospitality can become a platform for preserving cultural heritage while creating memorable guest experiences.

Where Hospitality and Heritage Come Together

The partnership between Andaz Delhi and Jaypore showcased how hospitality can extend beyond accommodation to become a meaningful cultural journey.

By combining immersive workshops, artisan interactions, handcrafted gifting, and authentic storytelling, the collaboration celebrated India’s creative legacy in a way that was engaging, educational, and deeply personal.

As experiential travel continues to shape the future of hospitality, collaborations like this set a benchmark for how hotels can connect guests with local traditions while supporting India’s extraordinary artisan communities.
