Balwant Singh Sajwan Brings Nearly Two Decades of Culinary Experience
With more than 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Balwant has built a diverse culinary career spanning prominent international and Indian hospitality brands. His professional journey includes Marriott International, The Venetian Macao, and Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, along with several well-known properties across India.
One of the notable highlights of his international career was his association with Golden Peacock, the Michelin-starred restaurant at The Venetian Macao. During his tenure, he contributed to introducing authentic Indian cuisine to the restaurant, giving him valuable exposure to international culinary standards while showcasing India’s rich food traditions.
His experience also includes contributing to the opening of Sarovar Premiere Amritsar, as well as key culinary roles at Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad, JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, Park Plaza, and Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa.
Chef Balwant was also part of the culinary operations for the G20 Summit at The Westin Resort & Spa Himalayas in Rishikesh, adding another significant achievement to his hospitality career.

Courtyard by Marriott Ghaziabad officially opened on August 14, 2026, marking the brand’s first hotel in Ghaziabad. Located in Raj Nagar Extension, the property is positioned to cater to a broad mix of business and leisure travellers visiting Ghaziabad and the wider Delhi NCR region.
The hotel features 106 rooms and suites, providing accommodation for both short business stays and leisure visits. Its facilities also include more than 8,000 square feet of event space, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, and spa.
With its event facilities, the hotel is also positioned to host weddings, social celebrations, corporate gatherings, and other events.
