Esterre with Le Louis XV: Alain Ducasse Dining Experience in Tokyo

Tokyo is set to welcome an exceptional culinary collaboration this November as Esterre by Alain Ducasse at Palace Hotel Tokyo joins forces with the legendary Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris in Monaco. Titled “Esterre with Le Louis XV: The Spirit of Alain Ducasse,” the exclusive three-night dining experience will bring together chefs from both restaurants for an eight-course celebration of refined French cuisine and the philosophy of naturalité.

Taking place on November 5, 6 and 7, 2026, the collaboration offers discerning diners a rare opportunity to experience the culinary character of two Alain Ducasse restaurants in one setting. Each evening will welcome a maximum of 30 guests, creating an intimate atmosphere for what promises to be one of Tokyo’s standout luxury dining experiences this autumn.

An Exclusive Culinary Collaboration in Tokyo

The menu has been jointly conceived by Kei Kojima, Chef de Cuisine at Esterre, and Emmanuel Pilon, Chef de Cuisine at Le Louis XV. During the collaboration, Chef Pilon and Sandro Micheli, Chef Pâtissier at Le Louis XV, will be in residence at Esterre, working alongside Kojima and Kohei Nakazawa to bring the distinctive culinary identity of Monaco to Tokyo.

The collaboration reflects the shared philosophy that connects the two restaurants: Alain Ducasse’s approach to naturalité, which places emphasis on the purity, seasonality and authentic character of ingredients.

Rather than simply recreating a menu from Monaco, the chefs will explore how this philosophy can be expressed through the ingredients and culinary culture of their respective destinations. The result is designed to showcase both the Mediterranean influence of Le Louis XV and the precision and seasonal sensibility associated with Esterre.

Alain Ducasse himself will not attend the three-night event, but his culinary philosophy remains at the heart of the collaboration.

A Taste of Le Louis XV in Tokyo

One of the highlights of the eight-course menu will be Le Louis XV’s signature artichoke with sea anemone and caviar, a dish that reflects the restaurant’s sophisticated approach to combining delicate marine flavours with premium seasonal produce.

For food lovers familiar with Le Louis XV, the appearance of this signature creation offers a chance to experience a taste of Monaco without leaving Tokyo. For those discovering the restaurant for the first time, it provides an introduction to the culinary style that has made Alain Ducasse’s Monaco establishment a destination for gastronomes from around the world.

The collaboration also gives guests the opportunity to see how the chefs interpret the same overarching philosophy through two different culinary environments.

Eight Courses in an Intimate Setting

The exclusive dinners will be held at Esterre on November 5, 6 and 7, with seating available at 6:00 pm, 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm.

With only 30 guests accommodated each evening, the limited capacity is intended to provide an intimate dining experience while allowing guests to appreciate the details of each course and the collaboration between the visiting and resident culinary teams.

The eight-course dinner is priced at JPY 100,000 per person, inclusive of tax and service charge. Guests can also opt for a wine pairing for an additional JPY 50,000 per person, creating a complete gastronomic experience designed to complement the menu.

A Luxury Stay at Palace Hotel Tokyo

For travellers looking to turn the culinary experience into an overnight Tokyo escape, Palace Hotel Tokyo is also offering a special one-night stay package for November 6 or 7.

Priced at JPY 440,000 per night for double occupancy, inclusive of taxes and service charge, the package combines accommodation with two places at the “Esterre with Le Louis XV” dinner.

Guests staying under the package can choose between a Deluxe King with Balcony or Deluxe Twin with Balcony room. The package also includes breakfast the following morning at Grand Kitchen or through in-room dining.

The two dinner seats are included for the selected evening, although beverages are not included and dinner seating remains subject to availability.

Bookings for the stay package are currently open through October 27, 2026, making it an attractive option for international visitors and domestic travellers planning a special Tokyo getaway around the event.

A Meeting of Two Culinary Destinations

What makes “Esterre with Le Louis XV: The Spirit of Alain Ducasse” particularly compelling is the opportunity to experience two restaurants shaped by the same culinary philosophy while rooted in dramatically different destinations.

Esterre represents the elegance and precision of Tokyo, while Le Louis XV carries the Mediterranean character and refined hospitality of Monaco. Bringing their chefs together creates a dialogue between these two culinary worlds rather than simply presenting one restaurant’s cuisine in another city.

For Tokyo’s luxury dining scene, the three-night collaboration offers something genuinely distinctive: an intimate encounter between chefs, ingredients and traditions, all connected by Alain Ducasse’s enduring belief in allowing the natural qualities of ingredients to take centre stage.

How to Reserve the Experience

With just 30 guests accepted each evening, availability for the three-night collaboration is expected to be limited.
