Sid Ramani Appointed General Manager at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa

Huntington Beach, California, USA | September 2026

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Sid Ramani as its new General Manager, bringing more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience with Hyatt Hotels Corporation to the iconic 519-room oceanfront resort.

Set along the Pacific coastline in Huntington Beach, popularly known as “Surf City USA,” the resort welcomes leisure travellers, families, groups and business guests. Ramani’s appointment comes with extensive experience across Hyatt properties and several of Southern California’s highly competitive hospitality markets.

A Career Built Across Hyatt’s Diverse Portfolio

Ramani’s career with Hyatt has taken him through leadership roles at a range of brands, including Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric and Hyatt House. This experience has given him exposure to different styles of hospitality, from large full-service hotels and resorts to lifestyle and extended-stay properties.

Over the years, he has held leadership positions across Southern California, including markets such as Newport Beach, Long Beach and Irvine. These roles have helped shape his approach to hotel management, combining operational discipline with commercial strategy and a strong focus on people.

His leadership style has consistently centred on operational excellence, business performance, colleague engagement and delivering a dependable guest experience.

Leading a Major Transformation in Irvine

Before joining Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, Ramani served as Area General Manager of Hyatt Regency Irvine and Hyatt House Irvine.

One of the highlights of his tenure was his involvement in the extensive transformation and repositioning of Hyatt Regency Irvine, a project representing an investment of approximately $55 million.

The transformation helped strengthen the property’s position in the Orange County market. During Ramani’s leadership, Hyatt Regency Irvine achieved AAA Four Diamond recognition within its first year of operation and established a reputation as a leading urban resort in the region.

For Ramani, the role involved more than overseeing hotel operations. He also became involved in the wider Irvine tourism and business community, serving on the Irvine Hotel Improvement District Operating Committee and working alongside Destination Irvine on tourism development and community initiatives.

His involvement reflected an understanding that successful hotels are closely connected to the destinations and communities in which they operate.

Recognised as an Industry and Business Leader

Ramani’s contributions were also recognised in 2026 when the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce named him “Executive of the Year.”

The recognition highlighted his involvement in the Irvine business community and his leadership within the hospitality industry, adding another milestone to a career spanning more than two decades with Hyatt.

A New Chapter in Huntington Beach

In his new role at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, Ramani will oversee the overall operation of the 519-room oceanfront property.

His responsibilities will include guest experience, colleague engagement, commercial strategy, financial performance and day-to-day hotel operations.

The resort’s beachfront setting adds a unique element to his new position. Huntington Beach has a strong connection with surfing and California’s coastal lifestyle, making the destination an important part of the overall guest experience.

For a property serving a diverse mix of travellers, maintaining high service standards while reflecting the personality of the destination will be an important part of the resort’s continued development.

Putting People at the Heart of Hospitality

A key element of Ramani’s leadership philosophy has been the importance of creating a positive and empowering workplace for colleagues.

In hospitality, the guest experience often begins behind the scenes. Engaged and well-supported colleagues are better positioned to create the personal interactions and service moments that guests remember long after their stay.

At Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, Ramani will continue to focus on building a culture where colleagues are encouraged to contribute, develop their skills and deliver consistent service.

Experience Across Hyatt’s Brands

Ramani’s extensive experience across Hyatt’s portfolio also gives him a broad understanding of how different hotel brands operate and serve their guests.

His career has included urban hotels, lifestyle properties, resorts and extended-stay accommodations, exposing him to a wide range of guest expectations and operational challenges.

That experience will now come together at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, where the demands of a large oceanfront resort require close attention to both operational details and the overall guest journey.

Leading the Resort Into Its Next Chapter

As General Manager, Sid Ramani will lead Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa into its next phase, with a focus on service excellence, commercial performance, colleague development and community engagement.

His more than 25 years with Hyatt, combined with his experience in hotel transformations and Southern California markets, bring a wealth of knowledge to the 519-room resort.

With Huntington Beach continuing to attract travellers looking for a quintessential Southern California coastal experience, Ramani’s leadership marks a new chapter for Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa as it continues to build on its position within the destination’s hospitality landscape.
