Percy P. Muncherji Joins Ventive Hospitality to Lead Design and Development Across Its Growing Portfolio
Ventive Hospitality Limited has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Percy P. Muncherji as Head – Design & Development, marking an important step as the company continues to expand and enhance its hospitality portfolio across India and international markets.
The appointment, announced in Pune on September 23, 2026, brings more than three decades of hospitality design, development and project delivery experience to Ventive Hospitality.
Percy P. Muncherji to Drive Design and Development
In his new role, Percy will oversee design and development initiatives across Ventive Hospitality’s portfolio. His responsibilities will cover new hotel developments, renovations and the enhancement of existing assets.
His mandate will include setting design direction, shaping development strategies, providing technical oversight, working closely with hospitality brands and operators, managing consultants and overseeing project delivery. The objective is to create a more integrated development process, from the initial concept and planning stages through to project completion.
With more than 30 years of experience, Percy has built a career at the intersection of design, development and project delivery. His professional background combines creative design thinking with technical, operational and commercial expertise across a wide range of hospitality projects and international markets.
International Hospitality Experience
Before joining Ventive Hospitality, Percy served as Vice President – Design & Technical Services at Centara Hotels & Resorts. In that position, he led the group’s Design and Technical Services function across multiple brands and international markets.
Prior to Centara, Percy spent more than 16 years with Oakwood Asia Pacific in Singapore, eventually becoming Vice President – Technical Services. During his time with Oakwood, he also held board positions across Oakwood entities in Japan, China and Indonesia.
His tenure at Oakwood included an important role in the development and delivery of 36 properties comprising approximately 5,200 units. He also contributed to the development and evolution of architectural and interior design standards across the group’s brands.
Earlier in his career, Percy held a senior position with The Ascott Limited, where he worked across project design and development, technical services and property delivery in Asia.

Commenting on the appointment, Atul Chordia, Chairman and Executive Director of Ventive Hospitality Limited, highlighted the growing importance of design and development as the company’s hospitality portfolio expands.

He added that Percy’s extensive industry experience and international perspective would contribute to the next phase of Ventive’s growth.

Welcoming Percy to the company, Ranjit Batra, CEO of Ventive Hospitality Ltd, said his combination of design leadership and development expertise would be valuable to the business.
According to Batra, Percy brings an understanding of hospitality from both an owner and operator perspective, allowing him to connect design vision with brand requirements, operational considerations and commercial objectives.
This combination is particularly relevant as Ventive continues to expand and enhance its portfolio of luxury and premium hospitality assets.

Speaking about his appointment, Percy said that Ventive Hospitality’s diverse portfolio was one of the key attractions of the opportunity.
He noted that the role would allow him to influence projects holistically, extending beyond design to encompass the broader development journey. Percy also emphasised the importance of creating hospitality destinations with a strong sense of identity, relevance and experience.
He will work closely with the Ventive team, hotel operators and design partners to bring this approach to the company’s growing portfolio.
Ventive Hospitality’s Growing Hotel Portfolio
Ventive Hospitality Limited operates as an owner, developer and asset manager of luxury and premium hotels in India and the Maldives.
The company currently has 14 operational hospitality assets representing 2,199 keys, covering both business and leisure segments. Its hotels are operated by several international hospitality brands, including Marriott, Hilton, Minor and Atmosphere, along with Soho House in India.
Beyond its hospitality portfolio, Ventive also owns complementary annuity assets covering approximately 3.4 million square feet.
The company reported consolidated revenue of ₹2,666 crore for fiscal year 2026, which ended on March 31, 2026. Ventive Hospitality completed its IPO in December 2024 and is listed on the BSE and NSE in India.
