Highgate has appointed seasoned hospitality and travel marketing executive Erica Doyne as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), bringing nearly two decades of experience in brand development, customer acquisition, commercial strategy and organisational transformation to the global hospitality company.

Based in New York, Highgate is a global real estate investment and hospitality management company with a growing portfolio across the industry. Doyne’s appointment comes as the company continues to strengthen its marketing and brand capabilities across its hospitality business.

Erica Doyne Brings Nearly 20 Years of Hospitality Marketing Experience

Doyne joins Highgate with an extensive background in travel, hospitality and brand leadership. Her career has included senior marketing roles focused on building brands, driving customer engagement and developing commercial strategies across complex hospitality portfolios.

Before joining Highgate, Doyne served as Chief Marketing Officer at Cardinal Financial. In the role, she established and led the company’s marketing function, overseeing brand strategy, customer acquisition and digital product initiatives.

Prior to Cardinal Financial, Doyne spent nearly two decades with AMResorts and Apple Leisure Group. She ultimately served as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Global Branding for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, where she led marketing and brand strategy for a diverse portfolio of luxury resort brands.

Leading Marketing Across Global Resort Brands

During her tenure with AMResorts and Apple Leisure Group, Doyne was responsible for marketing and brand strategy across 12 luxury resort brands and more than 150 properties.

The properties spanned key international destinations including Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and Europe, giving Doyne extensive experience in managing multi-market hospitality brands.

Her work also involved launching resort brands from the early stages of development and supporting the opening of more than 100 resorts. She has also developed marketing campaigns during periods when hospitality businesses were owned by major investment firms, including Bain Capital, KKR and KSL Capital Partners.

Recognised for Marketing and Communications Leadership

Doyne’s work in sales, marketing and communications has earned recognition from several industry organisations.

She was named among HSMAI’s Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Optimization and was also recognised by Ragan’s Top Women in Communications programme in the Visionary category.

Under her leadership, marketing teams have received several industry honours, including multiple HSMAI Gold Adrian Awards and Travel Weekly Magellan Awards.

Doyne’s Commitment to Community

Alongside her corporate career, Doyne is involved in nonprofit work. She serves on the board of the Penn Treaty Community Fund, an organisation supporting communities across four Philadelphia neighbourhoods.

Doyne holds a Bachelor of Communication from La Salle University.
