Goeun Lee Appointed Resort Manager at Four Seasons Bali

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Goeun Lee as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, effective September 1, 2026. The appointment marks Lee’s return to both Four Seasons and Indonesia, a destination that has held a special place in her life since her school years.

With around 25 years of international hospitality experience, Lee brings a strong background in hotel operations, people and culture, resort management and leadership development to her new role in Bali.

A 25-Year Career in International Hospitality

Lee previously spent nearly a decade with Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, where she held several leadership positions, including Learning Manager, Director of Rooms and Director of People & Culture.

During her tenure in Seoul, she contributed to the hotel’s achievement of its first Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating, which the property went on to maintain for six consecutive years. She also played an important role in navigating the challenges of the pandemic, while employee engagement reached a ten-year high and staff turnover was significantly reduced.

Before returning to Four Seasons, Lee served as General Manager of Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju in Korea, adding valuable experience in island-resort operations to her international hospitality career.

A People-Focused Leadership Style

Throughout her career, Lee has placed a strong emphasis on talent development, employee engagement and team building. Her leadership approach is built around empathy, collaboration and creating opportunities for hospitality professionals to grow.

This people-focused philosophy is particularly relevant to Bali’s hospitality environment, where meaningful connections between guests, employees and the destination are an important part of the overall resort experience.

In her new position, Lee will work closely with Didier and the Jimbaran Bay leadership team, supporting resort operations, guest experiences and the continued development of the property’s team.

A Special Connection to Indonesia

Lee’s appointment in Bali also carries personal significance. She attended Surabaya Intercultural School before moving to the United States, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration.

Having spent part of her formative years in Indonesia, Lee considers the country a second home. Her return to Bali gives her an opportunity to reconnect with a destination that has been part of her personal journey while bringing more than two decades of international hospitality experience to Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay.

Family Life and a New Chapter in Bali

Beyond her professional career, family remains an important part of Lee’s life. She is looking forward to welcoming her daughters, Leah and Yuna, to Bali later in 2026.

Their move will make the new assignment more than just another professional chapter, allowing Lee to reconnect with Indonesia while building a new family experience on the island.

Supporting the Future of Four Seasons Bali

With extensive experience spanning rooms operations, people and culture, resort management and talent development, Lee is set to play an important role in supporting the continued operations and guest experience at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay.

Her return to Four Seasons, combined with her personal connection to Indonesia and experience managing island resorts, brings a distinctive perspective to her new leadership role. As Bali continues to attract travellers seeking memorable luxury experiences, Lee’s people-first approach will be an important part of the resort’s ongoing hospitality journey.
