Hilton Shreveport has promoted Lauren Knicely to Director of Sales & Marketing, recognising her two decades of contribution to the hotel and her deep understanding of the Shreveport-Bossier hospitality and business market.
A Shreveport native and Louisiana Tech University graduate, Knicely has built her career at Hilton Shreveport around strong local relationships, commercial expertise and a client-focused approach to hospitality.
A 20-Year Journey with Hilton Shreveport
Lauren Knicely first joined Hilton Shreveport 20 years ago as part of the hotel’s pre-opening team, making her the property’s longest-tenured employee.
Over the past two decades, she has developed an in-depth understanding of the hotel, its guests and the wider Shreveport-Bossier market. Her long-standing connection with the property has also helped her build strong relationships with customers, businesses, organisations and community partners across the region.
Before stepping into her new leadership position, Knicely served as Group Sales Manager, managing a diverse portfolio of business spanning sports tourism, entertainment and film, education, conventions and social events.
From Group Sales to Commercial Leadership
Throughout her career, Knicely has developed a reputation for combining strong market knowledge with a creative and personalised approach to sales.
Her experience includes developing customised programmes for entertainment tour stops, supporting major conventions and creating new business opportunities across multiple market segments.
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all strategy, she has focused on understanding each client’s requirements and developing solutions that deliver value for both guests and the hotel.
This experience provides a strong foundation for her new role, where she will take on broader responsibility for Hilton Shreveport’s sales and marketing strategy.
Driving Hilton Shreveport’s Next Chapter
As Director of Sales & Marketing, Knicely will focus on driving revenue, strengthening strategic partnerships and supporting the hotel’s overall commercial growth.
Her extensive knowledge of the local market and established relationships throughout the community will be valuable as Hilton Shreveport continues to strengthen its position within the destination’s hospitality and business landscape.
Having spent 20 years at the property, Knicely also brings a unique perspective on the hotel’s evolution, customer base and the importance of building long-term relationships within the hospitality industry.
Her promotion represents more than a new leadership appointment. It marks an important milestone in a remarkable 20-year journey with the same hotel, from joining its pre-opening team to taking on a key leadership role in its sales and marketing operations.
