Mumbai’s luxury hospitality scene has entered a new phase with the launch of Roswyn, A Morgans Originals Hotel, the first Morgans Originals property in India by Ennismore. Strategically located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the new lifestyle hotel introduces a modern hospitality concept built around immersive design, long-stay comfort, destination dining, and social experiences.

The opening also marks Ennismore’s official entry into India under its globally recognised lifestyle hospitality portfolio in partnership with Accor.

Roswyn Mumbai Brings Lifestyle Hospitality to the Airport District

Situated close to Mumbai’s international airport, Roswyn combines connectivity with contemporary urban living. The hotel has been designed to reflect Mumbai’s fast-paced yet culturally layered personality, offering a stay experience tailored for both business travellers and long-stay guests.

The property features 109 expansive suites, with each suite starting from 80 square metres. Unlike conventional hotel rooms, the accommodations are designed as residential-style spaces complete with lounge areas, kitchenettes, home bars, and dedicated workstations.

According to Nitan Chhatwal, Managing Director of Shrem Airport Hotels, Roswyn was envisioned as more than just a hotel. The idea was to create a social destination where guests naturally return for dining, meetings, conversations, and relaxation.

Mumbai-Inspired Design with Contemporary Character

The interiors at Roswyn Mumbai have been designed by Paris-based designer Daphné Desjeux, who drew inspiration from Mumbai’s heritage, art, and evolving urban culture.

Design elements throughout the hotel include embroidered portraits, ceramic installations marked with “Bombay,” and photography inspired by the city’s coastline and everyday life. The aesthetic balances modern luxury with subtle cultural storytelling, giving the property a distinctive personality connected to Mumbai’s identity.

The result is a hospitality space that feels sophisticated yet deeply rooted in the city’s character, aligning with the creative and expressive spirit associated with the Morgans Originals brand.

Dining Experiences at Roswyn Mumbai

Dining plays a central role in Roswyn’s positioning as a lifestyle and social destination, with multiple venues designed to attract both hotel guests and Mumbai locals.

Fi’lia Restaurant

Fi’lia brings a refined Italian dining experience to Roswyn Mumbai. The menu focuses on Neapolitan-style pizzas, handmade pastas, and seasonal dishes inspired by traditional family recipes and authentic Italian flavours.

The restaurant aims to offer a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere suited for casual lunches, business meetings, and evening dining experiences.

Black Lacquer Listening Bar

Black Lacquer introduces a Japanese-inspired listening bar concept centred around vinyl music culture. During the day, the venue functions as an intimate social space, while evenings transform it into a vibrant nightlife destination.

The beverage programme includes sake, shochu, Japanese highballs, and a curated list of signature cocktails, complementing the venue’s immersive music-led atmosphere.

The Third Room

The Third Room has been designed as a hybrid social workspace where guests can network, work remotely, hold informal meetings, or simply unwind.

The concept reflects the growing demand for flexible hospitality spaces that blend work, leisure, and community interactions within a single environment.

Wellness and Family-Friendly Facilities

Roswyn Mumbai also introduces a range of wellness and lifestyle amenities designed to support modern travellers seeking balance during their stay.

Facilities include:

  • Technogym-powered fitness centre
  • Infinity swimming pool
  • Tiny Town children’s activity zone
  • Blu Xone longevity-focused wellness concept

Among these, Blu Xone stands out as one of India’s first longevity-focused hospitality wellness concepts, catering to the rising demand for preventive wellness, recovery therapies, and holistic health experiences in luxury hotels.

Ennismore and Accor Expand Lifestyle Hospitality Presence in India

Louis Abboud, Chief Growth Officer at Ennismore, described India as one of the world’s fastest-growing and most dynamic hospitality markets. He highlighted Roswyn Mumbai as the beginning of several upcoming lifestyle-focused projects planned for the country.

Ranju Alex, CEO of Accor South Asia, stated that modern travellers increasingly seek hotels that function as cultural and social destinations rather than purely accommodation spaces.

The launch of Roswyn further strengthens Accor and Ennismore’s long-term strategy to expand lifestyle-driven hospitality experiences across India’s major metropolitan cities.

Leadership Team Driving Roswyn Mumbai

The property is led by Rajiv Kapoor, General Manager of Fairmont Mumbai and Roswyn, alongside Annam Lubana. The leadership team aims to deliver an experience built around intuitive service, understated luxury, and thoughtfully designed social spaces.

Rajiv Kapoor noted that Mumbai’s hospitality market is evolving rapidly, with travellers increasingly preferring hotels that genuinely understand how people want to experience the city rather than relying solely on traditional luxury formats.

Roswyn Mumbai Signals a New Era for Luxury Lifestyle Hotels in India

With its spacious suite-style accommodations, destination dining venues, wellness-driven experiences, and community-focused social spaces, Roswyn Mumbai represents a significant shift in India’s luxury hospitality landscape.

As Morgans Originals officially enters India through Roswyn, the property is positioned to become a prominent lifestyle destination for business travellers, creative professionals, and modern luxury guests seeking immersive urban experiences in Mumbai.
