Rising Through Hospitality: The Story of Sumedha Chatterjee

Sumedha Chatterjee’s journey in the hospitality industry is a testament to her dedication, resilience, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Beginning her career as an Industrial Trainee at ITC Sonar in Kolkata, Sumedha quickly demonstrated her aptitude for hospitality and embarked on a journey marked by continuous growth and learning.

 

Her early experiences laid the foundation for her future success, as she transitioned to roles such as Graduate Management Trainee at Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park and later as a Guest Services Associate at Ibis & Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. These roles allowed her to refine her customer service skills and gain valuable insights into hotel operations.

 

Sumedha’s commitment to excellence led her to take on increasingly challenging roles, including Front Desk Executive at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Chennai and Duty Manager at Accor in Goa. In these positions, she showcased her leadership abilities and demonstrated a keen understanding of hotel management principles.

 

Her journey continued to flourish as she assumed the role of Assistant Front Office Manager at ibis Styles in Goa, where she played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front office department and enhancing guest satisfaction.

 

Today, Sumedha stands as the Assistant Front Office Manager at Novotel Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre, where she brings her wealth of experience and expertise to the forefront. In this role, she oversees the daily operations of the front office department, manages a team of dedicated professionals, and ensures that guests receive the highest level of service and hospitality.

 

Sumedha’s inspiring journey serves as a testament to the transformative power of perseverance and passion in achieving professional success in the hospitality industry. Her dedication to her craft, coupled with her leadership skills and unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction, make her a valuable asset to any hotel team. As she continues to excel in her role at Novotel Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre, Sumedha remains a shining example of excellence in the field of hospitality.
