Mr. Kumar is widely recognized as a highly focused and results-driven hospitality professional with a strong background in selling luxury hotels. His career journey has seen him excel in various capacities at some of the leading five-star hotels in New Delhi, with a particular focus on corporate and diplomatic sales.
A proud alumnus of the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai, Mr. Kumar earned his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management before furthering his education with a Postgraduate diploma in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing from the esteemed Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
Mr. Kumar’s illustrious career began in June 2005 at ITC Hotels New Delhi, where he focused on the Front Office and Sales Department, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors. Over the years, he has held significant roles at esteemed establishments such as The Imperial New Delhi, Oberoi Hotels & Resort New Delhi, and The Leela Palace New Delhi, where he consistently demonstrated his strategic acumen and leadership capabilities.
In his new role as General Manager – Development, Mr. Kumar will play a pivotal role in driving the development initiatives of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. His extensive experience, coupled with his deep understanding of the hospitality industry, makes him the ideal candidate to lead the development team towards achieving strategic objectives and expanding the brand’s footprint.
