Garhwali Thali at Westin Sohna: Himalayan Flavours on Your Plate

Flavours of the Hills: The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa Brings Garhwali Thali to Your Table

This limited-time culinary celebration, happening from 5th to 7th September 2025 at the resort’s stunning dining destination, The Red Brick Room, promises an immersive experience of Himalayan cuisine like never before.

A Culinary Journey Through Uttarakhand

Curated by the talented Chef Birendra and supported by Executive Chef Pradeep Rawat, the Garhwali Thali is a soulful tribute to the mountains. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared using age-old recipes, earthy spices, and organic, locally sourced ingredients — staying true to the farm-to-table philosophy that The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa is known for.

What’s on the Menu?

From the comforting warmth of Pahadi Paneer Tikka and the crunch of Macchi ke Pakore to the rich goodness of Bhatt ki Churkani, Gahat ki Dal, and Lal Bhaat, the menu celebrates the best of Garhwali cuisine. Guests can choose from vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis, both featuring a delightful range of starters, wholesome main courses, traditional breads like Kode ki Roti and Marse ki Roti, tangy Til ki Chutney, and to end on a sweet note — the delicious Jhungre ki Kheer, a millet-based dessert.

An Experience Rooted in Tradition

“Food becomes truly memorable when it connects you to the land and its traditions,” says Chef Pradeep Rawat. “Our Garhwali Thali is all about celebrating the honest, soulful cuisine of Uttarakhand while staying mindful of freshness, wellness, and authenticity.”
