Irvin Dinkel Takes the Helm as General Manager at Surety Hotel Autograph Collection, Des Moines

Des Moines, Iowa — The hospitality world celebrates a new chapter as Irvin Dinkel steps into his role as General Manager at Surety Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott International Inc. Known for his strategic acumen and people-centric leadership, Irvin brings more than a decade of experience across luxury and lifestyle hotel brands, setting the stage for a new era of guest excellence in Des Moines.

With an impressive career spanning renowned properties such as The Ryder Hotel in Charleston, Detroit Foundation Hotel, The Alida in Savannah, and The Ritz-Carlton, Irvin has consistently demonstrated his ability to elevate service standards and enhance brand value.

At The Ryder Hotel, he led a full-scale renovation project that transformed the guest experience and propelled the property’s TripAdvisor ranking from No. 58 to No. 12 in just two years — a testament to his hands-on leadership and visionary approach.

Now leading Surety Hotel, a downtown design-forward boutique property blending Marriott’s global prestige with Aparium’s “Hotels Done Differently” philosophy, Irvin will oversee operations, team engagement, and strategic growth initiatives. His focus will be on amplifying the hotel’s local charm while expanding its international reach through the power of Marriott Bonvoy.
