Luxury hospitality in Saudi Arabia’s capital enters a new chapter with the appointment of Hans Konings as General Manager of Mansard Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Hotel. Bringing over 25 years of global hospitality expertise, Konings steps into the role with a reputation for transforming luxury properties, driving strong financial performance, and elevating guest experiences across diverse international markets.

A seasoned leader within Radisson Hotel Group, Konings has spent more than 15 years in senior leadership roles across the Radisson Blu and Radisson Collection brands. His career journey spans the United Kingdom, Germany, Slovakia, Russia, and China—each chapter adding depth to his strategic vision and operational excellence.

Most recently, Konings served as Senior Director of Operations – China for Radisson Hotel Group in partnership with Jin Jiang International Hotels, overseeing a portfolio of more than 45 upscale and luxury hotels. During a critical post-pandemic phase, he led revenue recovery initiatives, strengthened brand standards, and enhanced employee engagement—delivering sustained growth in gross operating profit and market performance.

His leadership track record includes managing a six-hotel cluster in St. Petersburg with nearly 3,000 rooms and spearheading the successful conversion of Radisson Blu Sochi into a Radisson Collection property. That transformation reportedly delivered a remarkable 107% increase in profit and a GOP of 68.5%, setting new benchmarks for the brand.

Beyond numbers, Konings is known for steering hotels through high-profile global events, including the FIFA Confederations Cup, FIFA World Cup, Formula One races, and presidential-level gatherings—strengthening performance across MICE, leisure, weddings, and wellness segments.

Recognized for excellence, Konings has received multiple industry honors, including Best General Manager in Russia at the International General Manager Awards and several Russian Hospitality Awards for Best Resort Hotel. Sustainability remains central to his leadership philosophy, with properties under his direction achieving Green Key Environmental Certification and Blue Flag Certification.

In his new role, Konings will oversee all operations at Mansard Riyadh, focusing on service excellence, operational performance, and delivering refined luxury experiences aligned with Saudi Arabia’s evolving hospitality landscape. Fluent in multiple languages and now based in Riyadh, he is well-positioned to lead the property into its next phase of growth—where global expertise meets local elegance.
