Her professional journey started with Marriott when she decided to defy all odds and give up a Management Trainee program with an established and reputed Indian Hospitality Chain in exchange for the Marriott Executive Development Program (EDP). In 2001 Marriott had limited presence in India and so it was a bold move to give up the known for the unknown. She joined Marriott as an F&B EDP but changed over to Sales and Marketing within the first week. She was nominated to champion new roll outs and was part of a committee aimed at making a progressive sales structure with strong focus on customers. Through the years, she used the opportunity to move within the discipline and cover all verticals (property sales, cluster sales, regional sales, market sales, former NSO setup, reactive, proactive and leadership roles). Eventually, she decided to move to operations to expand her learning and grow into a well-rounded hospitality professional.
