Udaipur Marriott Hotel proudly welcomes Tapan Mudgal as its new Director of Food & Beverage, ushering in a new era of culinary innovation and guest-centric dining experiences at the 226-room lakeside property.
With a career spanning over 18 years in luxury hospitality, Tapan brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success across marquee hotel brands, including JW Marriott Chandigarh, InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram, Fairmont Jaipur, and most recently, Jaipur Marriott. Known for his precision, people-first leadership, and operational acumen, he now steps into this role with a deep understanding of both global standards and regional nuance.
Having been associated with Udaipur Marriott Hotel since its pre-opening phase in early 2025, Tapan has already played a pivotal role in setting up the property’s F&B backbone—from conceptualizing restaurant experiences to building and mentoring a team of over 90 associates.
“Udaipur is a destination that naturally inspires hospitality, and the Marriott brand brings structure and soul to that inspiration,” said Tapan Mudgal. “I’m excited to lead a team that’s passionate about not just serving food, but creating moments—whether it’s a lakeside breakfast, a lavish wedding banquet, or a quiet evening in our lounge.”
In his new role, Tapan will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings—across restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and the hotel’s expansive banquet operations. His focus will be on enhancing guest satisfaction, maintaining world-class service standards, innovating menus, and driving F&B revenue growth through quality, creativity, and consistency.
Renowned for orchestrating complex, high-profile events—from luxury weddings and IPL catering, to General Managers’ conferences—Tapan is equally adept at managing scale and detail, making him a natural fit for Udaipur Marriott’s ambitious and diverse culinary footprint.
