Nicolai Worsøe‘s journey in hospitality began at the tender age of 12, fueled by a passion ignited while assisting in the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The bustling ambiance, the orchestrated chaos, and the collective pursuit of guest satisfaction captivated him. Though drawn to the kitchen, Nicolai envisioned a role beyond culinary creations – one where he could directly engage with guests, ensuring their comfort and delight.
Following his dream, Nicolai embarked on a path that intertwined his love for hospitality with an academic pursuit of psychology and communication. Even while working full-time as airline crew, his fascination with the dynamic hospitality industry only grew. As a psychology student, he delved into understanding how people learn and how training could enhance performance and motivation.
Post-graduation, Nicolai transitioned into hotel operations, initially at the front desk and then as a guest relations agent. It was here that he discovered his knack for service recovery – the art of turning setbacks into triumphs. Eager to share his insights, he began developing training programs and was granted the opportunity to train multiple teams within the local hotel group.
Driven by a relentless passion for learning and development, Nicolai ascended to the role of Front Office Manager at one of Denmark’s largest hotels. However, it was the disruptive force of the Covid-19 pandemic that propelled him to fully commit to his dream. Recognizing the potential of technology to revolutionize training methodologies, Nicolai founded hosdu alongside his business partner, Ahmet Incikli.
Today, hosdu stands at the forefront of hospitality training, blending technology with Nicolai’s expertise in psychology and learning. Their platform offers interactive SOP features, enhanced onboarding processes, and gamified training content, all designed to empower hospitality professionals worldwide. With a global reach spanning multiple languages and regions, hosdu is reshaping the future of training, from elementary school teachers to hospitality professionals across continents. Nicolai’s journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in hospitality.
