The LaLiT Chandigarh Presents The Phulkari Festival: A Celebration of Punjab’s Rich Culinary Heritage

The LaLiT Chandigarh proudly invites guests to embark on an exquisite culinary journey at The Phulkari Festival, a grand tribute to Punjab’s rich heritage and authentic flavors. Inspired by the traditional art of Phulkari—a vibrant embroidery that intricately weaves stories of culture and tradition—this festival mirrors the same spirit by offering an immersive experience of Punjab’s culinary legacy.

Phulkari, meaning “flower work,” has long symbolized celebration and heritage in Punjab. Much like the intricate patterns that adorn fabric, the festival’s menu is a vibrant tapestry of flavors, bringing generations-old recipes to life.

The Phulkari Festival promises to transport guests beyond the familiar, presenting a curated selection of Punjabi delicacies that evoke nostalgia and authenticity. While classics like Sarson da Saag and Makki di Roti hold their rightful place, the festival also showcases a grand culinary spread featuring Amritsari Kulcha, Dal Moge Wali, Masaledar Punjabi Meat Curry, Pedde Wali Lassi, and other treasured recipes that narrate Punjab’s vibrant cultural story.

“Through The Phulkari Festival, we aim to present the soulful essence of Punjab’s culinary heritage. Each dish tells a story of tradition, crafted with authentic flavors and ingredients that have been cherished for generations,” said Chef Ankur Sharma, Executive Chef at The LaLiT Chandigarh.

Guests will indulge in a meticulously crafted four-course set menu featuring:

  • Soup to tantalize the palate
  • Appetizers infused with traditional Punjabi flavors
  • A Signature Thali comprising eight regional delicacies
  • Chef’s Special Dessert Samplers for a sweet finale

Beyond the delightful cuisine, The Phulkari Festival is a true cultural celebration. Live music performances during dinner will complement the experience, adding an extra layer of joy and festivity.
